COBRAS BLANK SPARTANS FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE WIN

The Cleveland Cobras improved to 2-0 on the 2024 Tri-Point Football League with a 27-0 shut out of the Port City Spartans (0-1). The Cobra run game led the way on scoring runs of 1, 3 , and 12 yards by quarterback David "Slap" Thompson. 

The Cobras' defensive unit was able shut down the Spartan offense for four quarters and provided favorable field position for the offense.

Kicker Ben Lyons also added field goals of 31 and 44 yards. 

The Cobras host the Tusc County Warriors (1-0) on June 15. The Warriors won in week two with a 20-6 victory over the Mahoning Valley Federals. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm in Brooklyn, Ohio.
